Senior Business Analyst

iSoftStone
$120,000 - $140,000Hybrid

About The Position

iSoftStone, Inc. is seeking a Senior Business Analyst/Consultant to join their team in Union City, CA. This is a contract, hybrid role in the San Francisco, CA area. Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. The Senior Business Analyst will join the engagement team through discovery and translate workshop findings into detailed requirements, workflows, and acceptance criteria that will drive a major DAM and media delivery modernization. This is a highly visible, requirements-ownership role on a marquee multi-brand retail account, working directly with e-commerce, marketing, and technology stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Five+ years of business analysis experience on enterprise software or platform implementation programs, ideally including a DAM, CMS, PIM, or content-operations system.
  • Estimate and track product costs throughout the lifecycle, including material, labor, and overhead.
  • Integrate costing data into PLM systems for accurate BOMs, change impact analysis, and profitability tracking.
  • Support cost optimization by identifying inefficiencies in design, sourcing, or manufacturing.
  • Align costing with business goals such as go-to-market strategy, pricing, and margin targets.
  • Demonstrated experience running requirements-elicitation workshops with cross-functional business stakeholders (e-commerce, marketing/creative, and technology) and turning findings into clear, testable requirements.
  • Working knowledge of digital asset management concepts: metadata schema, taxonomy, rights/usage management, and master-plus-derivative asset strategy.
  • Strong documentation skills — requirements specs, process maps, traceability matrices, and UAT test scripts.
  • Comfort working with integration requirements between a DAM/Ecomm and adjacent systems (production/rights, product/SKU/PIM platforms).
  • Excellent stakeholder communication, able to translate between business, creative, and technical audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience specifically with Cloudinary, Adobe AEM Assets, or Scene7/Dynamic Media.
  • Background in fashion, apparel, or accessories retail, particularly multi-brand organizations with brand-specific taxonomy needs.
  • Familiarity with agile/hybrid delivery methodologies and backlog tools.

Responsibilities

  • PLM and Costing - manage product’s entire lifecycle — from initial concept through design, manufacturing, service, and eventual disposal — ensuring all product data, processes, and decisions are centralized and coordinated.
  • Elicit and document detailed functional requirements through stakeholder workshops and interviews across e-commerce/studio, marketing/brand, and technology teams, translating high-level priorities into requirements and acceptance criteria the delivery team can build against.
  • Define migration scope and criteria — working with the technology team to translate audit findings (asset counts, sizes, master locations) into concrete migration rules (e.g., SKU activity, inventory/orders).
  • Integration requirements — specifying how the DAM must exchange status, rights, and product/SKU metadata with adjacent production/rights and product-data systems, including the asset-level (not just project-level) publishing behavior stakeholders need.
  • Own the requirements backlog and traceability — maintaining requirements, decisions, and open questions across all delivery phases so scope stays traceable from discovery through governance and hypercare as it's refined.
  • Support UAT and acceptance testing — translating requirements into test scenarios and validating delivered functionality (taxonomy, permissions, integrations, derivative rules) against them before phase gates and cutover.

Benefits

  • Pay rate: $120,000 to $140,000/year.
