About The Position

The Virginia Department of Taxation (Virginia Tax) is seeking two Senior Business Analysts to assist their Tax Processing section. You would become part of a dedicated team that provides analytical support to enhance the Agency’s tax return processing and payment systems. As a member of this team, you will support systems that are the foundation of Virginia Tax’s core operations. Team members support online services applications as well as the data capture of paper returns and payments. They are responsible for the processing of over 14 million tax returns and 8 million payments which, help ensure refunds are issued timely and critical Government operations, such as education, public safety, and programs for those in need, received the necessary funding. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will help ensure our systems are operating as designed, are efficient, and are meeting the taxpayer’s needs and expectations. Requirements

Considerable experience working in a time-sensitive work environment supporting public-facing online programs
Considerable experience providing business and functional support to online electronic commerce systems
Strong ability to analyze and develop a detailed understanding of a complex online application system
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience writing business requirements for online programs that support public users
Strong communication skills, verbally and in writing
