About The Position

Sigma Software is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to contribute to a large-scale smart solutions platform combining enterprise integrations, product customization, and digital experiences. The role works closely with the Customer and engineering teams to understand business needs, manage requirements, support product decisions, and contribute to strategic outcomes. The successful candidate will join an experienced international team using an AI-driven development approach and will have opportunities to influence product decisions, delivery processes, and business outcomes. The project is a web-based product customization platform. It enables users to personalize products through fonts, colors, styles, sizes, and graphical elements, and supports guided design workflows, reusable templates, bulk customization, and structured order management. The solution integrates with authentication services, ERP platforms, product data management, and content management systems. Key technologies and systems include Svelte, TypeScript, Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, Drupal CMS, ERP, MDM, and CI/CD. The Senior Business Analyst will act as a Proxy Product Owner, own requirements management throughout the project lifecycle, and support backlog refinement, sprint prioritization, Agile ceremonies, acceptance activities, and continuous process improvement. The role also applies AI-assisted approaches to requirements analysis, research, and documentation.

Requirements

At least 5 years of commercial experience as a Business Analyst in software product development.
Strong expertise in requirements elicitation, analysis, decomposition, documentation, and validation.
Proven experience managing product backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Experience working directly with Customers and facilitating requirements discussions.
Ability to independently own product and business decisions within the assigned responsibility area.
Product-oriented mindset and ability to balance business value, user needs, priorities, and technical constraints.
Sufficient technical background to communicate effectively with engineering teams.
General understanding of APIs, integrations, data flows, and modern web application architecture.
Understanding of AI-driven development principles and AI-assisted delivery workflows.
Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
Proactive attitude, strong ownership, and decision-making capabilities.
Advanced or Upper-Intermediate spoken and written English.

Nice To Haves

Experience in smart home, smart building, or building automation domains.
Previous experience acting as a Proxy Product Owner or Product Owner.
Hands-on experience with AI-assisted or AI-driven software development practices.
Experience with enterprise platforms involving multiple integrations and third-party systems.
Familiarity with ERP, CMS, or MDM integrations.

Responsibilities

Work with the Customer to understand business needs, priorities, and expected outcomes.
Act as a Proxy Product Owner and support day-to-day product decisions.
Own and drive requirements management throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate with stakeholders on continuous backlog refinement.
Facilitate backlog refinement and clarification sessions with engineering teams.
Align business requirements with technical implementation approaches alongside architects, developers, and QA engineers.
Support sprint prioritization and provide timely business decisions.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to process improvements.
Identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and ambiguities in requirements and drive their resolution.
Prepare and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, and related business analysis documentation.
Support product demos and acceptance activities, and incorporate Customer feedback.
Use AI-assisted approaches for requirements analysis, research, and documentation.
