About The Position

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for the integrity, performance, and effective use of the Food Pro system across University Housing and Dining. This role partners closely with IT, Accounting, Dining Operations, Purchasing and external vendors to ensure accurate inventory, reporting, forecasting, and system functionality. This position may also accomplish other IT task such as user and application administration. The position also plays a critical role in training, documentation, system governance, and continuous process improvement.

  • Bachelors degree in business, computer science, or related field.
  • Work experience administering or supporting Food Pro, or similar Food Management System.
  • Experience working with a housing or food service software.
  • Experience working as a business analyst or similar in the hospitality industry.
  • 2 or more years work experience in a college and/or higher education IT environment.
  • 2 or more years managing and maintaining systems and applications in an enterprise environment.
  • 2 or more years of demonstrated experience managing IT related projects.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an administrator and analyst of UHD's Food Management Software (FoodPro).
  • Maintain the input and output of data within the FoodPro System, including item inventory information, location inventory data, transfers, vendor order updates.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and point of contact for FoodPro.
  • Produce recurring and ad hoc reports and analytics to support Accounting, Dining, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate training for staff on use of FoodPro.
  • Assist with Application Support.
  • Work as part of the Server Team to maintain the UHD software portfolio by administering UHD systems.
  • Work with end-users to grant system access, make authorized changes, and enhance functionality to ensure we are providing the best possible experience.
  • Monitor, accept, and complete task and issues within a ticketing system.
  • Adhere to established IT change management protocols to protect system stability and integrity.
  • Collaborate with both business users and technical staff to implement and improve business processes.
  • Elicits, analyzes, specifies, and validates the business needs of stakeholders.
  • Translates conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to technical staff.
  • Create documentation on operations and establish SOP's.
  • Participate in UHD Initiatives.
  • Attend regularly scheduled meetings.
  • Perform special projects and tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, data accuracy, and business processes.
  • Occasional after hours and on call duties.
