About The Position

The Solutions Development team of the Broker-Distributed Commercial Insurance Program Administrative Department supports the creation, implementation and development of Desjardins Insurance’s brokerage arm for commercial insurance. As a senior business analyst, you lead development projects and strategic initiatives that are complex and innovative. Your initiatives require extensive knowledge of your specialty area. You make recommendations on the planning and execution of operationally and conceptually complex projects and initiatives that require comprehensive analysis and understanding of the organization and line of business. Coordination is critical, as you interact with stakeholders working in many fields. Interpersonal savvy and the ability to balance the interests of multiple parties are essential. You also analyze the impact of these projects on the organization and make recommendations to decision-making bodies to minimize their impacts and optimize value creation. More specifically, you will be required to: Lead complex strategic projects & initiatives in collaboration with the product owner and project manager Analyze costs, benefits, risks, constraints, business opportunities and needs to be factored into the project’s scope Identify, formalize and communicate needs and requirements to the various parties involved Formalize business objectives and model processes Co-create required solutions with the project team and collaborators from various sectors, ensuring alignment with business objectives Analyze impacts with parties involved, and identify prerequisites and internal dependencies Carry out change management activities Support the organization and target during solution rollouts

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a related field
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience in a business analyst or equivalent role
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec
  • Intermediate advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
