About The Position

Great American Insurance Group's P&C IT Services is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join their Enterprise Content Management (ECM) team. This role is central to how the organization captures, stores, governs, and retrieves business-critical content across platforms like ImageRight, FileNet, and DocEx. The Senior BA will collaborate with business units, engineering, project teams, and governance stakeholders to translate complex content and records management needs into actionable requirements. A key focus will be supporting platform stabilization, modernization, and content migration efforts, utilizing automation and AI-assisted analysis to enhance delivery speed, quality, and clarity. The company culture emphasizes connection, shared learning, and strong relationships, with employees expected to be on-site a minimum of two days a week if local to Cincinnati, with potential for three remote days. Core in-office days are typically Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, subject to business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 6 years of related experience that includes designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and/or maintaining applications, or configuring and using application software in a business setting.
  • Strong requirements gathering, process modeling, and documentation skills, with the ability to operate independently on complex problems.
  • Experience using AI-powered tools to improve documentation, analysis, testing, or delivery, with a focus on validating accuracy and appropriate use.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with business and technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with project management methods and tools, and familiarity with agile delivery.
  • Experience with enterprise content management or document management platforms (e.g., ImageRight, FileNet, DocEx) and associated content migration efforts.
  • Background in records management, content governance, retention, or related compliance frameworks.
  • Background in Property & Casualty Insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes business issues and defines requirements to design ECM solutions that align with organizational goals, with particular attention to content integrity, governance, and compliance.
  • Collaborates with program managers, project managers, and project teams to gather information, model system requirements, and document detailed specifications across content management platforms and their integrations.
  • Leads requirements and scope definition for content management initiatives, including platform migrations, upgrades, and the rationalization of large, complex content repositories.
  • Develops and implements automated system protocols that reduce manual processes and increase overall operational efficiency.
  • Develops workflow charts and diagrams to study system capabilities and write detailed specifications.
  • Manages dependencies and coordinates across multiple business and technical groups to ensure content, integrations, and records obligations are addressed throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Uses AI-assisted analysis to identify integration and migration risks, surface improvement opportunities, and enhance documentation quality.
  • May create end-user documentation and deliver training to ensure successful adoption of new systems.
  • May monitor project milestones, phases, and elements to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery.
  • May serve as a Scrum Master or agile team member, contributing to and testing the product increment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
