This role is for a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our Bridge Sector in New Jersey. In this role, you’ll lead critical bridge projects, from conceptual planning to construction and completion, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective, and innovative solutions for local agencies and design-build clients. Whether managing key sub-tasks on large-scale bridge projects or leading mid-sized bridge projects as a Project Manager, your expertise will drive the success of our infrastructure work.

Requirements

Professional Engineering License (PE) in NJ, NY or PA.
Bachelor’s degree in civil / structural engineering required.
Must have at least 7+ years of structural design experience in bridges and related structures.
Ability to perform advanced structural analysis and designs.
Proficient in leading technical aspects of bridge projects, writing reports, preparing drawings, specifications, and engineering calculations.
Must possess excellent technical and communication skills.
Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree preferred.
Experience with long span bridges is an asset.
Project management experience will be plus.
Experience in CSI Bridge is a plus.
Familiarity with AASHTO, NJDOT, PennDOT and NJTA design and standards preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform design and analysis of complex concrete and steel bridge structures.
Design of concrete and steel bridge structures.
Develop designs, contract plans and specifications.
Coordinate with and direct CAD production activities for drawing production.
Conduct quality control activities for independent review and checking of structural designs.
Interface with civil engineers for development of complete project plans and specifications.
Develop engineering studies, reports and documentation.
Oversee and review calculations and designs performed by engineers.
Other assignments as needed.
Mentor junior engineers.
Collaborate across disciplines.
