About The Position

Based in the Montréal office, you will be responsible for leading a structural design team on multidisciplinary projects, applying advanced engineering knowledge and tools to solve complex engineering challenges. You will also lead, mentor, support, and guide project resources (engineers and technicians), advise management, and collaborate with other disciplines. This role involves preparing proposals and contributing to business development, including publications and conference participation. You will prepare structural designs and assessments, as well as contract documentation, in compliance with applicable policies, procedures, standards, specifications, and manuals. Additionally, you will provide construction support and conduct site visits as required during ongoing construction projects, supervise the work of engineers and technicians, and assist project managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (ideally with a specialization in structural engineering).
  • Proficient in structural design software used for bridges and civil structures in Québec (SAP2000, Advanced Design America, CSIBridge, MIDAS, or SAFI), as well as the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
  • More than 10 years of experience in the analysis and design of various types of bridges and transportation structures.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and delivering projects of varying complexity, bridge types, and scale.
  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (CSA S6) and the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) Code.
  • Able to communicate in French, both verbally and in writing.

  • Experience in railway structures is an asset.
