Senior brand manager

WRITERNew York, NY
$141,000 - $178,300

About The Position

WRITER is the enterprise AI agent platform trusted by the marketing and sales teams behind the world’s biggest brands. In a world where every AI company sounds the same, WRITER is building something different. We believe a great brand doesn’t just look good. It earns trust, sharpens conviction, and gives people the confidence to act. We’re looking for someone who believes that just as deeply as we do. Reporting into the VP of brand and communications, you’ll drive ownership of the WRITER brand, internal and external, from campaign strategy to the systems that make great brand work scalable. You’ll help shape how the world sees us, how our employees feel about us, how our product expresses us, and how AI makes all of that more powerful. If you’re a brand leader who thinks in systems, ships with taste, and is genuinely excited about what agentic AI makes possible for marketing, this is your role.

Requirements

  • 7+ years building brands, ideally at a high-growth B2B technology company where brand was a strategic imperative.
  • Experience owning both brand strategy and execution.
  • Genuine excitement about agentic AI and its role in brand, with a real point of view.
  • Understanding of how AI can encode brand standards, scale creative output, and protect consistency without flattening distinctiveness.
  • Experience working with AI tools in a brand context.
  • Experience managing agencies, including writing useful briefs and giving feedback that improves work.
  • Experience working in or alongside product teams, understanding how brand translates into product experiences.
  • Experience building brand systems that scale (asset libraries, guidelines, repositories, brand skills, or AI-powered toolkits).
  • Fluency in brand metrics: knowing how to measure what matters, connect brand performance to business outcomes, and use data to defend and evolve strategy.
  • Ability to communicate with precision and confidence, write sharp briefs, present campaigns with conviction, and explain the value of brand investment.
  • Ability to operate with low ego and high standards, build shared ownership, and bring people along.

Responsibilities

  • Lead brand campaign strategy from idea through activation, developing concepts, managing work end-to-end, and ensuring every campaign builds something cumulative.
  • Partner closely with product marketing on integrated go-to-market campaigns, ensuring brand and demand work in lockstep.
  • Activate WRITER’s brand across the customer journey and employee experience, including onboarding, all-hands, and internal comms.
  • Own WRITER’s internal WRITER instance as the operational backbone of our brand: encoding voice, guidelines, and creative standards into brand skills.
  • Build and maintain the skill library that makes WRITER employees faster, sharper, and more consistent.
  • Partner with product and engineering to translate front-line experience into product insights, acting as an in-house advisor.
  • Work with product and design to ensure brand identity is felt inside the platform: in the copy, the experience, and the moments that tell customers they’re working with something built with genuine craft and conviction.
  • Be WRITER’s day-to-day lead for our brand agency — setting the brief, driving the relationship, and making sure partners deliver work that moves us forward.
  • Define and own the metrics that matter — brand awareness, perception, campaign performance, pipeline influence — and use those signals to continuously sharpen strategy.
  • Conduct ongoing competitive and market research to keep WRITER’s brand ahead of the conversation.
  • Build and own WRITER’s brand repository, creating a single, scalable source of truth for assets, guidelines, templates, and toolkits.
  • Champion brand adoption across the organization, running enablement that makes internal teams genuine brand ambassadors.
