About The Position

We’re looking for a Senior BI Developer with a passion for learning, a kind heart, a positive attitude, and a great sense of humor to join our growing team. The Senior BI Developer will be responsible for developing customized business intelligence reporting for CitySpan customers. The Senior BI Developer will be a key player on an incredible team as we execute our mission to help local governments and school districts take the next step from good to great.

Requirements

5+ years of mastery in SQL scripting and database optimization
2+ years of experience with enterprise report builders (Looker, Power Bi, SAP Business Objects) and GitHub-based version control workflows
2+ years of Python expertise for advanced data manipulation and automation
Proven ability to thrive in an Agile/SDLC environment using JIRA for capacity management and ticket lifecycle

Responsibilities

Architect and develop sophisticated custom reporting solutions within a modern BI stack, leveraging JIRA and Confluence for streamlined project tracking
Manage complex data models and schemas within a medallion architecture, ensuring high-quality data governance and technical documentation
Design and implement robust ETL / ELT data pipelines to support large-scale integration projects, such as the SF Department of Early Childhood implementation
Collaborate directly with key stakeholders at high-impact nonprofits like After School Matters to define requirements and deliver actionable insights
