About The Position

Join one of the region's largest privately owned automotive groups and help lead the administration and continuous improvement of our employee benefits programs supporting more than 2,400 employees across multiple states. Working closely with the Head of Human Resources, brokers, carriers, and vendors, you'll play a key role in administering our self-insured health plans, retirement programs, wellness initiatives, and leave programs while helping shape the future of our benefits offerings. Most importantly, you'll become a trusted resource for employees as they navigate some of life's most important and challenging moments. This is not a general HR position. We're looking for a career Benefits professional whose experience has been centered around employee benefits, self-insured healthcare plans, retirement administration, compliance, vendor management, and employee support. Requirements

  • 7 or more years of progressive experience in employee benefits administration.
  • Significant experience administering employer sponsored benefit programs.
  • Experience working with self-insured healthcare plans strongly preferred.
  • Experience partnering with brokers, carriers, TPAs, and benefit vendors.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and retirement plan administration.
  • Experience administering 401(k) plans.
  • Ability to analyze claims, utilization trends, and renewal information.
  • Experience supporting a multi-location or multi-state workforce preferred.
  • Experience with Paycom or a comparable HRIS is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • All applicants must demonstrate the ability to pass pre-employment testing, including a background check, MVR, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the administration of all employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary benefits, wellness programs, COBRA, and retirement plans.
  • Partner with brokers, carriers, TPAs, and vendors to administer and continuously improve our benefits offerings.
  • Assist with annual renewals, plan design evaluations, utilization reviews, claims trends, and employee communications.
  • Support administration of the Company's self-insured healthcare plans, including stop loss, high-cost claim monitoring, and cost containment initiatives.
  • Lead annual open enrollment planning, communication, education, and implementation.
  • Administer the Company's 401(k) plan, including vendor coordination, compliance, audits, employee education, and day-to-day administration.
  • Own FMLA, ADA, disability, and other leave programs while providing exceptional support to employees during difficult situations.
  • Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, Section 125, and other applicable laws and regulations.
  • Partner with Payroll and HR to ensure accurate benefit deductions, eligibility, and HRIS administration.
  • Analyze benefit data and recommend improvements that enhance both the employee experience and operational effectiveness.
  • Build strong relationships with employees, becoming a trusted resource for benefits related questions and guidance.
