Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in group benefits or employee benefits account management
- Strong knowledge of group health, dental, life, disability, and ancillary benefits products
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver strategic, results-driven solutions
- Excellent communicator and problem solver, with strong presentation and negotiation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Hold a valid Life License (LLQP) in your province
Nice To Haves
- CEBS, GBA, or related industry designations are considered strong assets
- Demonstrate accountability, collaboration, expertise, resiliency, and a client-first mindset
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of group benefits clients
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key client decision-makers, plan administrators, and advisors
- Lead annual renewals in collaboration with Underwriting, including carrier negotiations, rate analysis, and plan design recommendations
- Conduct regular client meetings to review plan performance, introduce new offers, and gather feedback
- Develop and implement benefits strategies tailored to client needs and business goals
- Prepare and deliver quarterly and mid-year reviews with actionable insights and recommendations
- Collaborate with carriers to implement plan changes, resolve claims issues, and ensure timely delivery of materials
- Respond to client inquiries on billing, claims, eligibility, and plan design
- Maintain accurate and current client records in CRM and internal systems
- Work closely with Sales, Underwriting, and Client Services to deliver seamless service
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell Westland’s suite of benefits and insurance products to drive growth within existing accounts
- Track and report on retention and growth metrics
