About The Position

Independence Pet Holdings (IPH) is seeking a People Senior Benefits Analyst to report to the Senior Benefits Manager. This role is crucial for supporting business growth through mergers and acquisitions, managing benefits and Leave of Absence projects, conducting benefits audits, and ensuring a best-in-class employee experience. As part of the Total Rewards Team, this position requires expertise in benefits, leave of absence, HR reporting, payroll, and 401k administration. The analyst will oversee benefits design and administration, including policies, procedures, compliance, and system harmonization. This role ensures ongoing benefits compliance by collecting data and collaborating with benefit vendors and internal teams such as People Experience, People Partners, Payroll, and Finance. Additionally, it supports the administration and enhancement of employee wellbeing programs to strengthen the overall employee value proposition.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources or related field or Human Resources, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources preferably in benefits administration
  • Strong analytical and data management skillset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Excellent data analytic skill set
  • Experience with accounting, finance or 401k administration and vendor management
  • Excellent communications skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting employee wellbeing, wellness, or engagement programs is a plus
  • Experience in Workday preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage all reconciliation for 401k, plan administration, plan corrections, and plan audits to ensure compliance with IRS regulations, working with financial advisors and ERISA counsel as needed.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and ongoing administration of employee wellbeing programs, including physical, mental, and financial wellbeing initiatives.
  • Coordinate and manage wellbeing program logistics (e.g., wellness challenges, vendor programs, employee resources), including vendor interaction, invoicing support, and program tracking.
  • Monitor and analyze participation and utilization data for both benefits and wellbeing programs; provide insights and recommendations to improve employee engagement and program effectiveness.
  • Develop communications plans to ensure benefits and wellbeing programs are well understood, administered equitably, and market-aligned.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (People Experience, Communications, HR Business Partners) to promote benefits and wellbeing initiatives and drive employee engagement.
  • Contribute to Benefit programs by establishing key metrics, supporting audits, supporting billing, and general troubleshooting.
  • Support ongoing M&A Integration activities including 401k plan merger and communications.
  • Support the annual open enrollment program across brands.
