About The Position

Our DaVita Benefits team provides strategic insights to design and deliver a broad range of competitive benefits to meet our teammates where they are in the moments that matter. We continually measure our impact to stay current with the needs of our teammates and steward available resources. As a Sr. Benefits Analyst on our team, you will collaborate with internal and external partners to support our health and welfare benefits, wellness programs, leaves of absence and retirement. This position reports to the Benefits Manager.

Requirements

  • Advanced Excel Proficiency: Mastery of Vlookups, pivot tables, and complex formulas to manage and interpret large data sets.
  • Technical Aptitude: Knowledge of Workday (or other HRIS), Alteryx, or other reporting and analysis tools.
  • Professional Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to facilitate effective meetings and lead discussions.
  • Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to garner insights from objective and subjective data sources to demonstrate action plans.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years in a business environment, gathering and using data to solve business problems.
  • 1+ years working in employee benefits or human resources.
  • Experience working with multiple large data sets to generate insights through critical thinking and detailed analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates solid knowledge of benefit plans and processes; maintains an understanding of Workday’s benefit-related Payroll functions, including inbound and outbound file transfers from vendor partners and closed-loop payroll.
  • Researches and independently responds to complex teammate inquiries including enrollment, eligibility, and benefit payroll deductions.
  • Builds strong partnerships and collaborates with internal stakeholders and external business partners to drive results.
  • Supports the design, testing, and implementation of new initiatives, open enrollment and year-end processes.
  • Reviews new and existing processes for improvements and automation opportunities; takes initiative to develop potential solutions.
  • Leads Benefits projects to ensure timely and accurate results; independently plans and establishes next steps to improve outcomes.
  • Independently prioritizes multiple requests, identifying tasks that are most critical to address with limited support.
  • Presents benefit information to new teammates and engages with other teams to provide benefit education throughout the Village.
  • Contributes assistance and insights to a collaborative, problem-solving team; takes initiative to maintain or improve team culture.
  • Ensures compliance with benefit regulations, confidentiality of sensitive data, and adherence to all applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Produces recurring and ad hoc reports using multiple large inputs; retrieves and stores source data needed for daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting.
  • Audits varied data sets, including hours worked and payroll deductions, to ensure accuracy across systems.
