About The Position

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Health and Welfare Benefits, the Senior Benefits Analyst administers all AMETEK's Health and Welfare benefit programs by providing a variety of analytical, technical and functional tasks that support the benefits system workflow processes in a largely outsourced environment. This role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of group health and welfare benefit programs including medical, prescription, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending plans, and Health Savings Accounts for Active, COBRA, and Retiree populations. The analyst will serve as the main point of contact with the health and welfare benefits administration platform, ensuring its functionality is maintained at a high level. They will also be the primary contact for internal local HR teams nationwide, addressing employee compliance questions, vendor escalations, and other benefits-related inquiries. The role involves overseeing third-party vendor work, managing interfaces, and maintaining data integrity by identifying and correcting system issues. Reconciliation of weekly funding and data integrity issues with vendors and internal Accounting is also a key responsibility. The Senior Benefits Analyst will manage the annual biometric screening process for all US-based AMETEK locations and serve as the main point of contact for Affordable Care Act (ACA) tracking responsibilities, including working with the ACA vendor for ongoing hours tracking and 1095 forms. The position will assist the senior manager with compliance-related deliverables, provide analysis, reporting, and census data as needed, and manage the employee appeal process. The analyst is expected to identify and recommend process/customer service improvements and innovative solutions while sustaining current systems. Support will be provided to third-party vendors by supplying appropriate information for workflow processes and serving AMETEK employees. Building and maintaining relationships with vendors and field HR is crucial. The role also involves assisting the senior manager in holding vendors accountable for service levels, quality, and timeliness. Documenting and maintaining administrative procedures for assigned processes, assisting with annual open enrollment (including system, communication, and process testing), and maintaining process documentation with analytical review for efficiency are also key duties. Finally, the analyst will process necessary forms and escalate all issues to the proper parties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or other related degree preferred.
  • 8+ Years of related experience.
  • Solid knowledge of HR, Benefits, ERISA, and Business Administration.
  • Technical experience required as department’s core functions are mostly outsourced.
  • Ability to critically think, resolve problems and escalate when necessary.
  • Experience working with Benefits/HRIS system functionality, including design, testing, and operational support.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Excellent verbal skills.

  • Experience with multi software and system applications.
