Senior Backend Engineer

Magic Eden is a multi-chain NFT platform seeking to bring NFTs to people's everyday lives and onboard the next billion users to the blockchain. They are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with at least 6+ years of experience in software engineering to build new services to meet critical product and business needs using Node.JS, design scalable systems to solve novel problems with modern cloud technology and industry best practices, and articulate a long term vision for maintaining and scaling their backend systems and the teams running them. The ideal candidate is passionate about building an open financial system that brings the world together and has experience with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks, Blockchain technology, AWS, Web3.js, NodeJS, Postgres, MongoDB, and building financial, high reliability or security systems.

• Build new services to meet critical product and business needs using Node.JS
• Design scalable systems to solve novel problems with modern cloud technology and industry best practices.
• Articulate a long term vision for maintaining and scaling our backend systems and the teams running them.
• Work with engineers, designers, product managers and senior leadership to turn our product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter.
• Write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers.

• Build new services using Node.JS to meet critical product and business needs
• Design scalable systems to solve novel problems with modern cloud technology and industry best practices
• Articulate a long term vision for maintaining and scaling backend systems and teams
• Work with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to turn product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter
• Write high quality, well tested code to meet customer needs
• Have at least 6+ years of experience in software engineering
• Have designed, built, scaled, and maintained production services, and know how to compose a service oriented architecture
• Be passionate about building an open financial system that brings the world together
• Nice to have: gone through rapid growth in a company, experience with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks, experience with Blockchain technology (such as Solana, Bitcoin, Ethereum etc.), experience decomposing a large monolith into microservices, worked with AWS, Web3.js, NodeJS, Postgres, MongoDB, built financial, high reliability, or security systems.
