Senior Backend & DevOps Engineer

Biamp•Beaverton, OR
•Onsite

About The Position

This is a 3-month, on-site contract position developing cloud services, APIs, and infrastructure for Biamp’s audiovisual conferencing solutions. The role focuses on identity and access control, including the permission model, APIs, and workflows that determine what users can do across the platform. An initial priority is replacing fixed, organization-wide roles with permission sets, groups, and grants that reflect customers’ organizational structures, using SpiceDB. The successful candidate will build and maintain backend services and APIs, implement fine-grained authorization, migrate customer access to the new permission model, and improve production service reliability, security, and performance. The role collaborates with Web, Embedded Software, Product Verification (QA), and Product Management teams, and includes code reviews and documenting designs and processes in Confluence. The position is on-site; Biamp does not have a remote or hybrid work policy for this role.

  • Proficiency in Go (Golang) and experience building microservices.
  • Experience designing and building APIs; GraphQL is preferred, and exposure to REST or gRPC is valuable.
