About The Position

Benzinga is a high-velocity financial media company with a fast-growing B2C subscription business. This role is for a senior operator who will own the end-to-end process of driving revenue through email and SMS programs, building and optimizing funnels for user conversion, and leading a continuous experimentation cadence. The position offers significant autonomy, with work shipping weekly and a clear path for growth as the function scales.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years in B2C email, growth, CRM, or conversion marketing, ideally in subscription, media, or e-commerce.
  • Deep ESP fluency: experience building and owning journeys, segments, broadcasts, and triggered sends in a modern ESP.
  • SMS program experience: built and run an SMS program, including consent, compliance, and deliverability.
  • Funnel and conversion depth: built and optimized landing pages, checkout flows, and signup funnels, with demonstrable conversion wins.
  • Self-directed builder: ability to take a revenue goal, decide what to build, and ship it with care and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical judgment: ability to read performance data, spot trends, form hypotheses, and translate them into tests.
  • Comfort with spreadsheets required; SQL is a plus.
  • Experimentation discipline: experience running always-on testing and ability to show end-to-end owned wins.
  • Compliance reflex: ability to identify performance-claim and promotional-language risk before shipping.
  • Strong copy sense: ability to write effective subject lines, SMS hooks, and CTAs, and match/set brand voice.
  • Fluency with UTM tracking and attribution models.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Sharp project management skills.
  • Discipline to run multiple programs simultaneously without losing details.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with onsite experimentation platforms.
  • Exposure to subscription billing systems and the entitlement logic behind paywalls and trials.
  • Experience with webinar and live-event marketing.
  • Comfort across a range of email platforms is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own customer journeys, campaigns, promotions, and lifecycle communications for subscribers across email and SMS channels.
  • Build and optimize landing pages, signup flows, and checkout experiences to convert users from interest to paid.
  • Develop and manage workflows for events and webinars that feed the sales funnel.
  • Own the testing roadmap across email, SMS, and landing pages, deciding what to test, implementing tests, scaling successful ones, and reporting on revenue impact.
  • Own program numbers, protect deliverability and list health, and maintain clean attribution for all sends and pages.
  • Partner daily with paid media, product and engineering, content, and data science teams.
  • Bring problems early with a proposed solution attached.
