About The Position

Benzinga is a high-velocity financial media company with a fast-growing B2C subscription business. This role is for a senior operator who will own end-to-end marketing initiatives. The position involves running email and SMS programs, building and optimizing funnels to convert free users to trials and trials to paying subscribers, and driving a continuous experimentation cadence. The role offers significant autonomy, with work shipping weekly and a clear path for growth as the function scales.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years in B2C email, growth, CRM, or conversion marketing, ideally in subscription, media, or e-commerce.
  • Deep ESP fluency, including building and owning journeys, segments, broadcasts, and triggered sends in a modern ESP.
  • SMS program experience, including consent, compliance, and deliverability.
  • Experience building and optimizing landing pages, checkout flows, and signup funnels.
  • Ability to take a revenue goal, decide what to build, and ship it independently with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical judgment to read performance data, spot trends, form hypotheses, and translate them into tests.
  • Comfort with spreadsheets; SQL is a plus.
  • Experience running always-on testing and demonstrating end-to-end owned wins.
  • Instinctive understanding of compliance risks related to performance claims and promotional language.
  • Strong copy sense for writing subject lines, SMS hooks, and CTAs.
  • Fluency with UTM tracking and attribution models.
  • Excellent written communication and project management skills.
  • Discipline to manage multiple programs simultaneously without losing details.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with onsite experimentation platforms.
  • Exposure to subscription billing systems and entitlement logic for paywalls and trials.
  • Experience with webinar and live-event marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Own customer journeys, campaigns, promotions, and lifecycle communications for subscribers across email and SMS channels.
  • Build and optimize landing pages, signup flows, and checkout experiences to move users from interest to paid.
  • Develop and manage event and webinar workflows that feed the funnel.
  • Own the testing roadmap across channels and pages, deciding what to test, implementing tests, scaling successful ones, and reporting on revenue impact.
  • Own program numbers, protect deliverability and list health, and maintain clean attribution for all sends and pages.
