About The Position

ImagineX is seeking a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to join their high-performing engineering team. The role involves architecting, automating, and optimizing cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for mission-critical enterprise systems. The engineer will collaborate with software and data engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient solutions. This is a hands-on, automation-first role for someone who enjoys solving complex cloud challenges and influencing DevOps strategy across multiple projects. The position is full-time and 100% remote.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
  • Deep expertise with Microsoft Azure, including services such as: Azure App Services, Functions, AKS, ACR, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Storage Accounts, VNETs, Private Endpoints, Firewalls.
  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD platforms.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform strongly preferred).
  • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration.
  • Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, identity, and governance.
  • Experience implementing observability and incident response workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.

Nice To Haves

  • Azure certifications (AZ‑104, AZ‑400, AZ‑305, etc.)
  • Experience with service mesh, API gateways, or distributed systems
  • Background in .NET, Node.js, or backend engineering
  • Experience with FinOps or cloud cost optimization
  • Familiarity with SOC2, Zero Trust, or other compliance frameworks

Responsibilities

  • Architect, implement, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM).
  • Design, build, and optimize Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
  • Manage and automate provisioning, configuration, and scaling across multiple environments.
  • Deploy, secure, and maintain Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters and containerized workloads.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Monitor, App Insights, and Log Analytics.
  • Partner with engineering teams to streamline build, test, and deployment workflows.
  • Implement and enforce cloud security best practices, including identity, secrets management, and network controls.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive long-term reliability improvements.
  • Champion DevOps culture, automation, and continuous improvement across teams.
