About The Position

We are seeking an Azure Engineer to help design and evolve the CI/CD and platform foundations that support Kardium’s flagship software. This role is central to enabling safe, efficient, and compliant development in a regulated medical-device environment, while ensuring our tooling can scale with the organization. Please note, this opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in DevOps, platform engineering, or software infrastructure roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Deep experience building Azure DevOps YAML pipelines, reusable templates, multi-stage workflows, and implementing environment promotion logic/quality gates.
  • Proficiency with Terraform or Bicep to provision Azure resources, design secure landing zones, and manage networking fundamentals (VNets, private endpoints).
  • Strong experience with container build pipelines (Docker, ACR) and deploying workloads to Azure Container Apps or Kubernetes.
  • Strong knowledge of Managed Identities, Azure AD RBAC, and Azure Key Vault integration.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with a knack for bringing structure to scaling engineering systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Hand-on experience with Azure dev ops pipeline set up for IaC (infrastructure as Code) using Terraform or Bicep or Similar
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric Data Pipelines, Dataflows, OneLake ingestion frameworks, and Git-integrated Fabric workspaces.
  • Familiarity with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations ALM, including X++ build pipelines and LCS Asset Library automation.
  • Experience managing release gates and compliance-driven deployment workflows within a regulated industry (e.g., medical devices).
  • Experience configuring Azure Monitor and Log Analytics for proactive pipeline and application health alerting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the configuration and long-term evolution of Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Boards, Artifacts) as a core engineering platform.
  • Design, build, and maintain YAML-based CI/CD pipelines supporting Azure Cloud microservices, verification, and release processes.
  • Architect and maintain reliable development, test, and production environments using automation-first practices (Terraform/Bicep).
  • Define and maintain standards for branching strategies, environment consistency, automated testing, and release governance.
  • Partner with software engineering, IT, and leadership to align DevOps tooling with our manufacturing and regulatory compliance needs.
  • Monitor CI and platform health, build DevOps dashboards for operational KPIs, and continuously improve systemic reliability and scalability.
