About The Position

The Senior Avionics Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating avionics systems for helicopters. This role involves defining system requirements, ensuring their traceability, and participating in verification, validation, and testing activities. The engineer will also prepare certification documentation, demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements (TCCA, FAA, EASA), and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and suppliers. Technical support will be provided throughout the entire development cycle, from design to certification.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, avionics, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in avionics systems development.
• Solid experience in the integration and certification of aviation systems.
• Good knowledge of DO-160, DO-178C, and ARP4754A standards, as well as TCCA, FAA, and EASA requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with helicopter programs (an asset).
• TCCA authorization for design approvals (TCCA Design Approval Authorization / DAO Delegate / former DAR) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate avionics systems for helicopters.
• Define system requirements and ensure their traceability.
• Participate in verification, validation, and testing activities.
• Prepare certification documentation and demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements (TCCA, FAA, EASA).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (electrical, software, mechanical, flight testing) as well as with suppliers.
• Provide technical support throughout the development cycle, from design through certification.
