Remote Senior Aviation Design Engineer
About The Position
Egis is hiring a Senior Aviation Design Engineer to design airport engineering projects, including runways, taxiways, aprons, airfield lighting, and navigational aids. The role includes preparing engineering design reports, construction plans, contract documents, and technical specifications. It also offers opportunities to contribute to and lead initiatives in the airport design practice, work on national and international airport projects, and develop professionally in a collaborative aviation environment. Experience with general civil engineering projects such as site design, sanitary wastewater, water, and hydraulic evaluation is a plus.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
- At least 8 years of experience in the civil engineering field.
- Ability to coordinate multiple project tasks.
- Self-motivated and able to handle a fast-paced position.
- Goal- and deadline-oriented.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
Nice To Haves
- Professional Engineer (PE) designation preferred.
- Aviation-related experience and knowledge of FAA criteria.
- Experience in general civil engineering projects, including site design, sanitary wastewater, water, and hydraulic evaluation.
