Senior Automotive Product Designer (Solidworks)
About The Position
Horsepower Automotive Group (HPAG) is a leader in the automotive aftermarket industry, seeking a Senior Automotive Product Designer to join their team in Chandler, Arizona. This role focuses on designing premium, made-in-America bumpers and accessories for off-road vehicles like Ford Raptors, Broncos, and Ram TRXs. The designer will be responsible for the end-to-end R&D design process, from concept to physical reality, ensuring products have both aesthetic appeal and structural integrity. The position offers the opportunity to see designs installed on real vehicles across the country and to work with a prototype engineering team.
Requirements
- SolidWorks experience
- Sheet metal and welded assemblies design experience
- Manufacturing drawing experience
- 3+ years CAD design experience

Responsibilities
- Create CAD models in SolidWorks daily, from templates, physical parts, or original designs.
- Build complex 3D sheet metal and tubular assemblies ready for manufacturing.
- Process 3D scans and create scanned mesh models of vehicle data to drive new product development.
- Partner with the prototype engineering team to move new products into automation and production.
- Implement part and assembly revisions based on instructions.
