About The Position

A National Public Accounting firm is actively looking to add an experienced Senior Auditor to their expanding Audit and Assurance team. In this client-facing position, Senior Auditors will work closely with teammates and senior leaders at the firm to provide audit, assurance, and accounting services to a diverse client base.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
2-3+ years of recent public accounting audit experience required
Strong knowledge of GAAP and generally accepted auditing standards
Ability to travel up to 20-25% annually based on client and engagement needs
Ability to work a hybrid schedule in the Boston office

Nice To Haves

CPA or actively pursuing CPA certification preferred

Responsibilities

Meet with clients regularly to coordinate and execute a range of audit and assurance activities
Participate in the planning, fieldwork, and completion of audit engagements
Perform substantive testing and analysis of client balance sheets, income statements, and supporting documentation
Prepare and review financial statements, workpapers, and audit documentation for accuracy and compliance with professional standards
Assist with engagement budgets, timelines, expenses, and staff allocation
Supervise and guide junior audit staff throughout engagements
Identify areas of audit risk and work with senior management to develop appropriate audit procedures and recommendations
Provide guidance to clients as it relates to audit findings, accounting standards, and best practices
Maintain regular communication with clients and engagement teams throughout the audit process
