About The Position

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
4–8 years of public accounting audit experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP and auditing standards
Experience working with the financial services industry, more specifically broker-dealers, investment partnerships/hedge funds and private equity funds
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple engagements, priorities, and deadlines
High level of integrity and professionalism
Availability to work in the office at least 2 days per week

Nice To Haves

CPA license or active progress toward CPA certification preferred
Experience with Quality of Earnings reporting is a plus
Experience with audit software and data analysis tools preferred
Experience supervising and mentoring junior staff preferred

Responsibilities

Lead the planning, execution, and completion of audit assignments in accordance with firm policies and relevant regulations
Perform and supervise fieldwork, including testing of internal controls, substantive testing, and documentation of audit findings
Prepare and review working papers and financial statements in compliance with GAAP
Assist in identifying and resolving accounting, auditing, and reporting issues
Collaborate with clients and engagement teams to identify areas for improvement in processes and internal controls
Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to Audit Associates and interns
Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information, address inquiries, and discuss audit findings
Stay current with accounting and auditing standards, as well as industry trends
Support the preparation and presentation of audit reports and recommendations to management and senior client personnel
Contribute to the firm’s commitment to high-quality client service and continuous improvement
