We are seeking a Senior AU Tax Accountant to manage Australian tax compliance and accounting engagements, including financial statements, tax returns, BAS/IAS, and SMSF matters. The role also involves tax planning, client communication, workpaper review, and assisting with advisory services while ensuring accurate and timely delivery of client work.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in public practice with a focus on Australian tax and business services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Philippines CPA qualified
- Strong financial statement preparation skills.
- Strong Xero and Microsoft Excel skills, with confidence learning new cloud applications.
- Strong knowledge of Australian tax and able to prepare high level tax returns, business activity statements, fringe benefits tax returns, payroll tax and other related tax lodgements.

- Experience using AI tools and developing custom instructions to improve efficiency and workflow.
Responsibilities
- Prepare annual financial statements and Australian tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, companies and SMSF.
- Prepare BAS and IAS, including supporting reconciliations and workpapers.
- Maintain clear digital workpapers, respond to review points and keep allocated jobs moving towards completion.
- Assist directors with tax planning, bookkeeping, payroll and advisory-related matters.
- Communicate with clients when required to gather information and resolve queries.
- Build technical knowledge through feedback, training and exposure to a varied client base.
- Work with the internal team to ensure timely delivery of services to clients and ensure that client expectations are met.
