About The Position

The Senior Associate is a leader within the Private Equity and Real Assets Fund Services business unit of State Street’s Alternative Investment Services Group. The role supports premier real estate fund clients by preparing, analyzing, and reporting investment and fund performance data for global real estate funds and affiliated entities. The team provides financial reporting, day-to-day accounting, and administrative support, as part of integrated fund accounting, fund administration, and risk services spanning front-, middle-, and back-office requirements.

Requirements

• Fund accounting or public accounting experience.
• CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA certification.
• Experience leading verbal and written communications with senior-level internal and external clients.
• Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and work efficiently to meet client deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger for various fund entities.
• Prepare supporting work papers for financial statements, portfolio schedules, and capital account allocations.
• Prepare financial statements and footnote disclosures.
• Review monthly and quarterly investment and fund performance data analytically.
• Review and/or prepare capital calls, distributions, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare management, annual, and incentive fee calculations.
• Prepare client correspondence.
• Calculate waterfalls and capital account allocations.
• Complete special projects as requested.
• Ensure compliance with legal documents.
• Maintain working relationships with client contacts, auditors, tax professionals, lawyers, and banking personnel.
