About The Position

As a Senior Associate in State Street’s Private Equity and Real Assets Fund Services business unit, you will prepare, analyze, and report investment and fund performance data for global real estate funds and affiliated entities. The team provides financial reporting and day-to-day accounting and administrative support to real estate fund clients. The role is part of International Fund Services (IFS), also known as Alternative Investment Solutions, which provides integrated fund accounting, fund administration, and risk services to hedge funds and private equity funds. The role also includes maintaining compliance with legal documents and working with client contacts, auditors, tax professionals, lawyers, and banking personnel. Special projects may be assigned as requested.

Requirements

Fund accounting or public accounting experience.
CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA certification.
Experience leading verbal and written communications with internal and external clients at senior levels.
Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to multitask and work efficiently to meet client deliverables.

Responsibilities

Maintain general ledgers for various fund entities.
Prepare supporting work papers for financial statements, portfolio schedules, and capital account allocations.
Prepare financial statements and footnote disclosures.
Conduct analytical reviews of monthly and quarterly investment and fund performance data.
Review and/or prepare capital calls, distributions, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare management, annual, and incentive fee calculations.
Prepare client correspondence.
Calculate waterfalls and capital account allocations.
Ensure compliance with legal documents.
Maintain working relationships with client contacts, auditors, tax professionals, lawyers, and banking personnel.
Complete special projects as requested.
