Today CFM has evolved into a attestation focused, peer reviewed, public accounting firm located in Long Island, NY. This role involves performing audits and reviews of multiple Governmental and Nonprofit client engagements, maintaining active communication with partners, managers, and clients, and implementing procedures based on the attestation plan. The position also requires identifying and communicating management suggestions to improve client internal controls and accounting procedures, managing and mentoring staff, participating in recruiting, and attending professional development seminars while adhering to professional standards and client confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Accounting.
  • Active CPA license preferred or pursuing CPA licensure.
  • 3+ years of prior experience in public accounting.

  • Knowledge of US GAAP and Regulatory Basis Principles.
  • Proficiency in US GAAS and GAGAS.

Responsibilities

  • Perform audits and reviews of multiple Governmental and Nonprofit client engagements.
  • Maintain active communication with partners, managers, and clients to manage expectations and ensure satisfaction.
  • Understand and implement procedures based on the attestation plan.
  • Identify and communicate management suggestions to improve client internal controls and accounting procedures.
  • Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on projects.
  • Actively participate in recruiting talent for the Firm.
  • Attend professional development and training seminars on a regular basis.
  • Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality.
