About The Position
The Senior Associate is part of State Street’s Private Equity and Real Assets Fund Services business unit within the Alternative Investment Services Group. The team provides financial reporting and day-to-day accounting and administrative support to real estate fund clients. The role is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and reporting investment and fund performance data for global real estate funds and affiliated entities. It also supports fund accounting and administration, including financial statements, capital activity, reconciliations, fee calculations, and client communications.
Requirements
- Fund accounting or public accounting experience.
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and work efficiently to meet client deliverables.
Nice To Haves
- CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA certification.
- Experience leading verbal and written communications at senior levels with internal and external clients.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledger for various fund entities.
- Prepare supporting work papers for financial statements, portfolio schedules, and capital account allocations.
- Prepare financial statements and footnote disclosures.
- Conduct analytical reviews of monthly and quarterly investment and fund performance data.
- Review and/or prepare capital calls, distributions, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare management, annual, and incentive fee calculations.
- Prepare client correspondence.
- Calculate waterfalls and capital account allocations.
- Complete special projects as requested.
- Ensure compliance with legal documents.
- Maintain working relationships with client contacts, auditors, tax professionals, lawyers, and banking personnel.
