About The Position

The Sr Assoc, Trade Compliance supports the organization's import/export operations, compliance, and regulatory risk management activities. This role works cross-functionally to ensure adherence to U.S. and international trade laws, corporate policies, and contractual obligations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to designated L3Harris companies regarding Trade Compliance requirements in accordance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
  • Review and process international export/import applications under ITAR, EAR, and other applicable U.S. regulations to ensure that they meet U.S. Government requirements and are submitted in a timely manner
  • Interface with U.S. Government regulatory agencies supporting global trade authorizations
  • Upload/ download Department of State (DOS) and Department of Commerce (DOC) export/import request and authorization documents through OCR’s Export Automation Solution Essentials (EASE), DOS’s Defense Export Control and Compliance System (DECCS) and DOC’s Simplified Network Application Process (SNAP-R)
  • Review and analyze provisos and conditions attached to issued authorizations
  • Assist with developing and implementing guidance, procedures, processes and templates to facilitate international export/import authorization requirements
  • Assist with audits, investigations, and corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate records of licensing activities in compliance databases and audit-ready files.
  • Monitor license expiration dates and assist in renewals or amendments as needed.
  • Actively participate and support internal training efforts and events (webinars, summits and conferences) by sharing best practices and lessons learned.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required
  • Ability to travel up to 10% (when conditions are appropriate)
  • Exhibit a high attention to detail, integrity and discretion
  • Able to work well in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint
  • Able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance of SECRET or higher
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and multi-tasking
  • Ability to manage assignments with limited supervision
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interface with personnel at all levels, both verbally and in writing
