About The Position

New York Life is seeking a Technical Analyst within its Tech, Data, AI and Ventures organization. The role leads analysis, design, and documentation of NYLIS illustration output and concept specifications, while contributing business analysis across user interfaces, business rules, integrations, and system requirements. It turns incomplete or high-level requests into comprehensive, development-ready solutions and partners across business and technology to deliver them. The position requires strong analytical skills, including familiarity with logical symbols and the ability to read and write logical expressions, as well as communication and presentation skills, life insurance expertise, and Agile delivery experience. The Technical Analyst facilitates working sessions, elicits and clarifies requirements, explains complex requirements to developers and testers, and builds consensus among stakeholders. Working independently, the role resolves ambiguity, anticipates downstream impacts, upholds cross-product standards, and drives requirements from discovery through agreement and sign-off. It may also lead Agile ceremonies and other delivery discussions. The role is hybrid, with three days per week at the designated work location. It is an exempt position, eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and potentially an incentive program. The stated salary range is $100,000–$143,000; actual base pay depends on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, and job location.
