Senior Associate, Strategy & Operations, DoorDash for Business (Logistics)
About The Position
DoorDash for Business is building the premier corporate dining and benefits platform, aiming to become the go-to solution for companies needing seamless, high-quality food programs at work. As a Senior Associate on the DoorDash for Business Catering team, you will own the Dasher and delivery experience for catering, ensuring large, high-stakes catering orders are delivered on time, set up correctly, and meet customer expectations. This role involves working at the intersection of operations, logistics, and analytics, focusing on hands-on problem-solving in an early-stage environment. You will identify issues in catering deliveries, test solutions, and influence product and operational improvements. The position reports into the Senior Manager, Strategy & Operations for DoorDash for Business and offers remote or hybrid work options.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in strategy & operations, logistics, management consulting, or a high-growth marketplace environment.
- Proven track record of owning operational problems end-to-end, from diagnosis to testing to rollout, with comfort in ambiguous, early-stage environments.
- Strong analytical skills, including SQL proficiency, data fluency, root cause analysis, and the ability to translate complexity into clear recommendations.
- Fluency with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar) for workflow automation, insight generation, and decision-making.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences including Dashers, operators, cross-functional partners, and senior leadership.
- Willingness to delve into details and conduct hands-on testing to identify effective solutions.
Responsibilities
- Own Dasher quality for catering, ensuring on-time arrival, accurate drop-off and setup, and a clean handoff.
- Determine the optimal logistics model for catering deliveries, including Dasher selection, batching, timing, equipment, and handoff, through testing and real-world learning.
- Analyze individual deliveries, gather insights from Dashers and customers, identify root causes of delivery issues, and implement operational fixes.
- Utilize AI tools to build automated workflows for identifying catering delivery breakdowns and scale manual analysis into repeatable processes.
- Translate on-the-ground learnings into product and operational recommendations to enhance catering delivery reliability.
