About The Position

Tyton Partners is seeking a Senior Associate for its strategy consulting practice. This role involves working with organizations across the education sector (PreK-12, postsecondary, and professional learning) to advise leaders on strategies for meeting learner needs, fostering equitable communities, and building sustainable enterprises. The practice combines a rigorous market orientation with client-specific missions and goals to develop actionable solutions. Senior Associates are core members of case teams, supporting clients with growth challenges. They are involved in all project phases, from brainstorming and hypothesis creation to research, strategy development, and final recommendation delivery. Responsibilities include owning workstreams, conducting research and analysis (market landscaping, financial analysis, surveys), synthesizing findings into client deliverables, engaging directly with clients, and coaching junior team members. The role also involves contributing to firm development through networking, sector trend knowledge, and best practice development. This position is ideal for individuals with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a deep interest in education.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of consulting or other relevant professional services experience, including investment banking, market research, or another analytical field
  • A creative and structured approach to problem-solving
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data to develop meaningful insights
  • Superior attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • A proactive mindset, with the ability to take ownership of multiple priorities and drive work forward with limited oversight

Responsibilities

  • Owning and driving multiple project workstreams, developing expertise on critical questions that inform clients’ strategy and decision-making
  • Identifying key data sources and conducting primary and secondary research
  • Developing hypotheses and conducting rigorous quantitative and qualitative analyses, including market and competitive landscaping, market sizing, financial analysis, and survey development and analysis
  • Synthesizing research and analysis into clear, actionable insights and developing compelling PowerPoint presentations, research briefs, and other client deliverables
  • Engaging directly with clients and delivering findings and recommendations in both informal and formal settings
  • Collaborating with, coaching, and supporting junior team members to produce high-quality work
  • Contributing to the development of the firm by leveraging internal and external networks, building deep knowledge of sector trends, and developing best practices
