The Community Impact and Investment (CI&I) team creates impactful community outcomes and positions Capital One as the most strategically bold, innovative, and mission driven financial institution through: Fueling strategic community investments (e.g. grants, skills, loans) Delivering insights, advice and resources that inform Capital One’s products and services Activating the capabilities of “impact forward” associates The Community Impact and Investment team supports Capital One through leading enterprise volunteerism, conducting market research, fostering community relationships, grant making, originating Community Development Financial/Institution (CDFI) loans and partnering with and advising LOBs. The Community Impact and Investment (CII) is undergoing a multiyear transformation to increasingly align business strategy and social impact; launch new, holistic approaches to investing in our communities; use Capital One’s volunteer time and talent in strategic ways; and use data, analytics, research, and inclusive design to inform more targeted and actionable consulting to our business partners on topics related to a broad view of financial inclusion. Within CII, the Originations team exists to source, vet, and build strategic philanthropic partnerships designed to spur innovation and social impact while bringing our brand to life within our communities. This function serves as a strategic mechanism, working to proactively source new and early-lifecycle opportunities. Alongside the Open Calls and Always-On intake processes, Venture Sourcing is a key part of the team's diverse sourcing mechanisms and end-to-end sourcing lifecycles. We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Project Manager to oversee processes and coordinate timelines for our function. This role is integral to ensuring the seamless execution of our end-to-end sourcing lifecycles—inclusive of our Open Calls, Always-On intake processes, and developing pipelines. From planning and stakeholder coordination (including Market Engagement, GEA, and LOB partners) to submission, due diligence oversight, and post-award follow-up, you will be the engine that keeps our investments moving. As we look toward our 2026 priorities, this role will also support critical agile sprints aimed at automating and optimizing our tracking tools and intake repositories. The ideal candidate is a master of organization, skilled in project management, and proficient in using Google Suite and automation tools to streamline operations. Exceptional customer service, adaptability in a test-and-learn environment, and cross-functional communication skills are essential for success in this role. This role involves up to 25% travel as needed. It also involves attending events before and after normal business hours and overnight trips / conferences.
