About The Position

Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first As a Senior Associate, Localization, you will play a critical role in executing and scaling Humana’s enterprise localization efforts, ensuring high‑quality, culturally aligned, and compliant communications for diverse audiences. In this role, you will lead end‑to‑end localization workflows—from intake through delivery—ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with established standards. You will operate as a key partner in driving consistency and efficiency across localization processes, balancing hands-on project management with quality oversight, stakeholder coordination, and process optimization. While maintaining a strong foundation in linguistic quality, this role is focused on managing workflows, improving operations, and enabling scalable solutions through the effective use of translation technologies, including AI/ML‑enabled tools. You will also support governance efforts by reinforcing standardized processes, terminology usage, and vendor performance expectations, while continuing to provide associate oversight as required by CMS guidelines. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in managing complex localization projects, enjoys working cross‑functionally, and is motivated to improve processes and systems that support enterprise‑level localization at scale.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in English and Korean, with the ability to review and validate translated content for accuracy, clarity, and cultural appropriateness; must pass a language proficiency assessment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Localization, Project Management, Communications, Linguistics, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in localization, translation operations, or project management
  • 2–4 years of experience managing end-to-end localization projects, including workflows, timelines, and cross-functional coordination
  • Experience working with translation management systems (TMS), CMS tools, and localization technologies, including exposure to AI/ML‑enabled solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements, optimize workflows, and improve operational efficiency
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., Spanish, Chinese) strongly preferred
  • Experience working in healthcare, regulated environments, or CMS-governed content workflows
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (ADA compliance) and culturally inclusive content practices within a healthcare context

Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end localization projects from intake through delivery, ensuring clear requirements, defined timelines, and alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Manage and optimize localization workflows within translation management systems (TMS), including intake, job setup, routing, tracking, and delivery using AI/ML‑enabled tools.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders within assigned lines of business, providing guidance, setting expectations, and ensuring strong cross‑functional communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely delivery, quality output, and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Drive process improvements to enhance scalability, efficiency, and consistency across localization operations, with a focus on reducing manual effort and increasing automation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, brand, and accessibility standards, including CMS requirements for associate oversight.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes, including internal/external linguistic review workflows, issue resolution, and continuous improvement of translation quality and vendor performance.
  • Support terminology and translation memory (TM) management by reinforcing standardized usage and contributing to the maintenance of linguistic assets.
  • Maintain and enhance localization documentation, including workflows, intake guidelines, and best practices to support operational consistency.
