The Opportunity: Join Hamilton Lane as a Senior Associate on our Private Markets fintech product management team. We are focused on using innovation to change the private markets. You will have a passion for problem solving and will be focused on client and investment team business goals. As a product team member, you’ll be involved in all aspects of the innovation process, from identifying friction points to creating technology.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in a private markets product management, portfolio management, or client relationship role.
  • Analytical, problem-solver mind set, process-oriented.
  • Self-directed, proactive.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-spirited environment with a strong attention to detail and little guidance.
  • Be comfortable with ambiguity as client and business needs change, enjoy an iterative environment.
  • Exhibits empathy and humility, willing to receive and adopt feedback.
  • Champion of user or human centered design

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with typical product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, Pendo

Responsibilities

  • Support product managers by translating business goals and user feedback into thoughtful product design.
  • Conduct user experience (UX) research by interviewing clients and internal stakeholders, gather additional client feedback from Client and Sales teams, and conduct innovation sessions.
  • Identify friction points, articulate core problem and scope.
  • Investigate build, partner, buy methods to solve problem; develop and run POCs with available AI applications or software.
  • Recommend solutions, articulate changes to business logic or processes, and bring stakeholders along the product development cycle.
  • Document current and future state with diagrams, functional requirements, user stories.
  • Dig into financial and business data and conduct data analytics to help get to the right number.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure execution of work, triage user stories, and remove blockers for team.
  • Test features, enhancements, and bug fixes before they land in users’ hands.
  • Use measurement and analytics pre- and post-launch of features and enhancements to communicate impact.
  • Author product guides and contribute to marketing materials; influence the change management associated with a given project.
