About The Position

Introba is seeking a Senior Associate, Electrical to join their Vancouver team. This role is responsible for managing a Project Design Team, ensuring effective staff utilization, and providing technical support. The ideal candidate will have experience leading and designing institutional projects and a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles. They offer world-class building engineering design, analytic, and consulting services.

Requirements

  • 10+ years design experience in HV, LV, control and lighting design experience
  • Experience leading and designing institutional projects
  • Has led a team
  • Experience responding to RFPs and writing Business Cases
  • University degree, college/technology diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PEng), Applied Science Technologist (AScT), or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • LEED® Accredited professional designation or other relevant rating or performance system is desired

Responsibilities

  • Leads a team, ensuring members receive adequate training, support and development opportunities
  • Accountable for ensuring appropriate utilization, workload planning and forecasting
  • Implements programs to improve the quality of service, products, and systems to meet clients' requirements, minimize costs, and maximize the firm’s competitive position
  • Promote quality issues with all team members and ensure that the quality control function is effectively performed and embedded as a standard in the team
  • Assure adequate field review services are provided to ensure adherence of contract documents
  • Act as the firm representative and maintain good relationships with clients, project stakeholders, associations, government bodies and other entities
  • Is an active role model for team and office culture and promotes an inclusive workplace
  • Builds and manages their own key clients and monitors key pursuits/opportunities
  • Contributes to GO/NO-GO decisions with the mindset of growing the business
  • Monitors and assists with keeping team performance at or above the annual plan
  • Is a discipline lead on projects with minimal peer/technical support required
