In this role, you will work with a team of industry experts to help the world’s leading companies solve their most difficult problems. You will join our Architecture/Engineering Process Practice and partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Experience with lighting photometric programs
  • Familiarity with Title 24 and California Electrical Code
  • Experience reviewing and updating electrical system models
  • Experience working with mechanical, electrical, and process (MEP) engineers and technicians
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary large capital projects involving owners, general contractors, contractors, and system integrators
  • A solid understanding of design/build (engineering and construction)
  • Familiarity with facilities document control systems
  • Experience with electrical as-built drawings that are incorporated into master CAD drawings
  • Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills including generating reports and conducting presentations
  • A willingness to travel for project requirements including installation and start-up activities, client and company sponsored meetings, trainings, industry related seminars, forums, and conventions
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited institution
  • An Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or a willingness to sit for the EIT exam

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with low and medium voltage power, SKM Power Tools, load flow analysis, and electrical engineering drawings in an A/E firm environment

Responsibilities

  • Design electrical power distribution and lighting systems for manufacturing and other industrial facility renovations and greenfield projects as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team
  • Develop electrical designs for manufacturing power distribution and lighting systems
  • Utilize Title 24 and Energy Pro software
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers and contractors on new construction and renovation projects
  • Learn to review electrical design specifications and drawings
  • Gain understanding of low & medium voltage electrical distribution systems including MCCs, generators, transformers, low voltage substations, and UPSs
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Become knowledgeable of NEC and CEC codes, and local code amendments
  • Read and interpret design drawings and specifications
  • Make an impact day-to-day with your skills and expertise, strengthening that relationship with our clients and team
