About The Position

The University of Notre Dame is seeking a Senior Associate Director of Scholarship Administration to play a vital role in managing the University's undergraduate scholarship portfolio. This position will help connect talented students with financial resources through the Pathways to Notre Dame initiative, making a historic commitment to affordability, accessibility, and student success. The role involves strategic thinking, data-informed decision-making, and collaborative leadership to maximize the impact of various scholarship types. The Senior Associate Director will work across Enrollment, University Relations, academic colleges, and campus partners to ensure scholarship resources align with University priorities, donor intent, and student needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience that will positively impact financial aid within higher education
  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-million dollar financial portfolios and large-scale, multi-layered datasets
  • Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and collaborate effectively across diverse internal departments (e.g., Finance, Advancement, Academic leadership) under tight deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analytics tools and financial software (e.g., Excel, Tableau, ERP systems) to extract, manipulate, and analyze data.
  • Polished interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence when representing the organization to high-profile external stakeholders
  • Change-management capability with a focus on leveraging technology to enhance service delivery and eliminate administrative bottlenecks

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for Notre Dame's comprehensive undergraduate scholarship portfolio.
  • Partner with colleagues across Enrollment, University Relations, and the academic colleges to optimize the distribution of institutional and donor-funded scholarships.
  • Leverage data and analytics to strengthen scholarship strategies that support student recruitment, enrollment, retention, and long-term success.
  • Ensure scholarship funds are administered in accordance with donor intent, University priorities, and institutional policies.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance processes, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen stewardship of scholarship resources.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships across campus, serving as a trusted partner in advancing the University's enrollment and financial aid goals.
