About The Position

The Senior Assistant Vice President (Sr. AVP) in the Product Development Team for a US Healthcare Project drives the strategic vision and execution of complex product development initiatives. The role leads multiple cross-functional teams delivering healthcare solutions that meet market demands and regulatory standards, collaborates with executive leadership to align product strategies with organizational goals, and ensures continuous improvement of product offerings. It requires extensive healthcare industry experience and the ability to manage large-scale projects.

The Sr. AVP oversees the product development lifecycle from concept through market launch, leads and mentors senior product managers, engineers, and designers, and supports a culture of innovation and excellence. The role combines strategic planning, market analysis, stakeholder management, regulatory compliance, and product innovation with expertise in medical and reimbursement policy, payment integrity or payer environments, AI-enabled prototyping, and claims-data analysis.

Requirements

• Senior expertise in medical and reimbursement policy.
• Experience at a payment integrity company or a health plan (payer).
• Strong technology skills, including hands-on experience using AI tools to quickly build working prototypes.
• Experience using AI to turn policy logic into SQL queries to test savings opportunities and confirm cost-savings estimates against claims data.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Consulting or client-facing mindset.
• Strong communication skills with senior executives.
• Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the product development lifecycle from concept to market launch, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
• Lead and mentor senior product managers, engineers, and designers.
• Drive strategic planning, market analysis, stakeholder management, product vision, and roadmap development.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Identify opportunities for product enhancement and innovation.
• Use AI to translate policy logic into SQL queries that test savings opportunities and validate cost-savings estimates against claims data.
• Work with product and technology teams to turn successful prototypes into scalable products.
• Act as a senior subject-matter expert in client meetings and sales pursuits, explaining clinical and financial value.
• Shape solution strategy and identify new use cases based on payer needs and industry trends.
