About The Position

A Break Time Regional Manager is responsible for directing and supervising operations in an assigned group of stores to maximize sales and profitability, as well as managing and serving as a liaison between a subset of Area Managers and the Break Time Director of Operations. The Regional Manager is a role model and demonstrates the company’s core values. Responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, training, evaluating and motivating employees in their assigned area, as well as a subset of Area Managers, to achieve the mission of fast and friendly service. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of multi-unit leadership experience
  • Successful completion of Break Time Area Manager training program within 6 months of accepting the position
  • Must exhibit a high level of responsibility, integrity, dependability, and stability
  • Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations to make change, complete shift reports and account for numbers of products during vendor check in
  • Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and delegate to achieve maximum results
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to visually observe and inspect items and work environment for regular job responsibilities and safety concerns
  • Physical ability to move and position self to move and retrieve products and supplies from shelves, under counters, or stacks of inventory weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Physical ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or driving) for up to nine hours per shift
  • Physical ability to move and position products in cooler with temps as low as 30 degrees for up to 1 hour and in the freezer with temps as low as 0 degrees for up to 10 minutes
  • Availability to work any shift, including weekends and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

  • Support the Company Vision and Mission and implement the strategies necessary to achieve them
  • Ensure that all stores provide customer service that meets or exceeds company standards and customer expectations
  • Maintain high standards of store image, ensuring that all stores are clean, well-stocked, and ready for business
  • Ensure that all assigned stores operate within established inventory levels, salary budgets (and other control lines), and gross profit margins to achieve maximum profitability
  • Build store sales and gross profits through implementation of corporate merchandising policies, procedures, and programs
  • Support and enforce all company policies and local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including ensuring all employees abide by local, state, and federal guidelines for the sale of alcohol and tobacco
  • Assure that personnel processes (hiring, training, employee evaluations, employee discipline and termination actions) are carried out in a legal, ethical, and timely manner, and in accordance with company policy and federal, state and local regulations
  • Actively assist with all Marketing Department promotions
  • Conduct merchandise price surveys, observe competitors, and recommend changes when appropriate
  • Manage and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties, including hiring, evaluating performance, providing feedback and development opportunities, and taking disciplinary action when necessary
  • Serve as first point of contact for Area Managers concerning operational questions, providing suggestions and ideas on how to resolve issues.
  • Ensure Area Managers and store management team timely complete required daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork
  • Establish individual and team goals for each department, as well as establish personal goals with senior leadership; ensure goals are attainable and trackable
  • Ensure employees follow posted work schedules and adhere to proper clocking procedures to accurately reflect hours worked
  • Prepare and submit recommended budgets for departmental operations
