About The Position

Richemont, a global leader in the luxury sector, is seeking a Senior Area Manager for Cartier in Coral Gables, FL. This role reports directly to the Commercial VP and is responsible for overseeing the entire Cruise Ships network and select Watch Specialists POS in the Latin America & the Caribbean Region. The Senior Area Manager will develop strategic action plans with partners, provide leadership support to grow the business, and cultivate long-term client relationships. Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or International trade required.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in the international sales, retail and/or marketing fields.
  • 5-7 years experience in the Luxury industry.
  • 5 years experience in the Cruise Industry is a must.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, high level of power analytics.
  • Fluent in English & Spanish required.
  • Strong knowledge in sales and marketing strategies and techniques, preferable in luxury products.
  • Proven sales track record.
  • Availability to travel and work extended hours.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Solid analytical skills.
  • People-oriented and team player.
  • Comfortable managing high level of complexities, uncertainties and conflicts.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and perform with several high priority projects running at the same time.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sell-out, market share, and sell-in objectives while monitoring and reassessing the network's footprint.
  • Set and monitor relevant KPIs, both quantitative and qualitative, for assigned territories.
  • Achieve sell-in and sell-out targets for the geographical scope, conducting regular reviews and analysis of the network for optimal performance and accurate forecasting.
  • Manage and continuously reinforce partnerships.
  • Act as an expert in managed territories, understanding market intricacies, consumer demographics, economic factors, and political/tourism insights.
  • Collect market intelligence (hotels, malls, cruise-ship terminals, etc.).
  • Manage strategic market changes, including store openings, closures, renovations, and partner transitions.
  • Lead store opening, renovation, and relocation processes in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Conduct frequent territory visits and maximize opportunities.
  • Regularly adjust the three-year network plan.
  • Support and drive the 'Retailization' of the External Partner Network.
  • Lead and support boutique and watch specialist partners and managers in analyzing and interpreting data.
  • Analyze contexts and propose commercial opportunities, developing yearly strategic action plans with partners and managers.
  • Follow up monthly on performance and action plan execution.
  • Ensure effective communication and implementation of corporate and regional strategic initiatives with partners.
  • Develop yearly strategic action plans for key markets.
  • Lead client-centric strategies and manage change within the partner network, reinforcing adherence to the CARE Platform for client data collection.
  • Collaborate with Retail Operations Manager and L&D on end-client feedback regarding CARE or the Barometer.
  • Collaborate with partners to plan and execute PR, Media, CRM, e-partner action plans, and VIP client opportunities aligned with corporate guidelines.
  • Act as a Maison Ambassador, attending market events and developing relationships with key VIP clients.
  • Support VIP client treatment strategies and action plans.
  • Participate in the recruitment, development, and growth of boutique teams.
  • Support partners in team development and performance management.
  • Identify and develop Cartier Ambassadors in the Watch Specialist network.
  • Lead the performance management of Ambassadors.
  • Embrace a collaborative environment with a co-construction mindset across teams to foster innovation.
  • Ensure flawless presentation of Cartier in each supervised store.
  • Oversee brand image and visibility in coordination with relevant teams, focusing on product and visual merchandising.
  • Implement strategic objectives for the Retail and Specialist markets.
  • Reinforce the business model by overseeing the auto-replenishment process and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
  • Review assortments bi-annually with Marketing, Supply Chain, and store managers.
  • Work with Visual Merchandising (VM) to ensure correct display guidelines and animation implementation.
  • Coordinate with the Legal Department to ensure all agreements and contracts are in place.
  • Ensure partners remain current in collaboration with the Finance Department.
  • Contribute to transversal projects.
