Requirements

Degree or diploma in architectural and building technology from an accredited technical college.
10+ years’ working as a Building or Architectural Technologist for an Architectural consulting firm.
Demonstrated substantial product knowledge and ability to detail architectural building systems.
Construction site experience.

Nice To Haves

Preference given to candidates with knowledge of BIM principles & workflows; REVIT software; Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Microsoft 365 environment; Bluebeam

Responsibilities

Producing and overseeing technical design and contract documents in compliance with owner requirements, in collaboration with project teams.
Working with team members to validate that designs and deliverables conform to technical guidelines, code requirements, regulations, quality assurance and control.
Providing technical design solutions for both new and renovation projects including interior and exterior assemblies.
Leading assembly of specifications for projects using the NMS format.
Coordinating and leading internal production teams.
Coordinating with project sub-consultants.
Providing technical mentoring and project leadership to office staff.
Assisting with contract administration including site visits and working with construction contractors.
