About The Position

Under the direction of the Chief Architect, performs professional architectural and supervisory work as a licensed professional architect within the Department of Buildings & Grounds. Work involves supervising and performing advanced level evaluation and preparation of architectural plans, specifications, contracts, and reports for capital improvement building construction projects. Employees work closely with design professionals, contractors, consultants, and other City-Parish employees assigned to City-Parish projects. Work is performed with independent judgment in accordance with established policies, rules, and regulations and is reviewed through reports and results obtained. Performs other work as requested.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in architecture
• Three years of post-license experience in the practice of professional architecture
• Possession of a license to practice professional architecture as issued by the Louisiana State Board of Architectural Examiners
• Valid Louisiana driver's license (may be required)
