About The Position

Exponent is seeking a Senior Architect or Architectural Engineer for its Civil & Structural Engineering Practice. This role involves leading and growing engineering/architectural consulting services regionally and nationally. The position requires expertise in solving complex client challenges related to building envelope and material failures, utilizing analytical and computer problem-solving skills, conducting field investigations, preparing technical reports, marketing to clients, and managing projects. Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Architectural Engineering or Architecture and at least 2-3 years of consulting experience related to buildings, OR M.S. in Architectural Engineering or Architecture and at least 6 years of consulting experience related to buildings
  • Presently legally authorized to work in the United States. No immigration sponsorship or processing required.
  • Professional license in Engineering (PE) or Architecture (AIA)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to synthesize technical information and present it to specialists and non-specialists alike
  • Clear written communication and technical writing skills are required
  • Proven dedication to quality and accuracy
  • Versatile, team-oriented, willing to work overtime and travel when required

Responsibilities

  • Inspection, analysis, and determination of root causes of building envelope and building material failures.
