Senior Applications Developer
About The Position
Upholds Capital Credit Union’s mission while leading advanced technology initiatives and mentoring development staff. As a senior member of the Digital Experience team, the Senior Applications Developer architects, designs, and oversees complex solutions that drive innovation and efficiency. The role champions best practices, guides process improvements, and ensures high standards in software development to enhance the member experience and support organizational strategic objectives. The position operates in an office environment with moderate to high noise and frequent use of office equipment. It involves prolonged sitting or standing, working in a confined area for extended periods, frequent mental and visual concentration, and occasional work outside normal business hours. Hybrid work may be possible with supervisor approval and is subject to the Remote Work / Work from Home Policy. The role requires moderate lifting of up to 20 pounds and transporting objects weighing 5 to 20 pounds for 5 to 10 percent of work time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7+ years in software development/programming, including leadership roles.
- Experience with SDLC methodologies, Agile/Scrum frameworks, and project management.
- Advanced proficiency in C#/VB.NET, PowerShell, TypeScript/JavaScript, SQL, and modern runtime environments.
- Expertise in systems architecture, API design, and enterprise integrations.
- Excellent facilitation and issue resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
- Strong leadership, influential management, and consensus-building skills.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal/team effectiveness.
- Advanced analytical, strategic planning, and organizational skills.
- Experience with resource management tools and leading cross-functional teams.
- Credibility as a senior-level project leader and technical expert.

Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of sophisticated software solutions.
- Architect scalable, secure, and maintainable systems and integrations.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers and peers.
- Oversee code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure quality assurance.
- Drive adoption of new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies.
- Collaborate with business leaders to align technology initiatives with organizational strategy.
- Present technical solutions and project updates to executive management and the Board of Directors.
