About The Position
We are seeking a Senior Application Administrator to lead data modernization and informatics initiatives within a large-scale public sector environment. This role is responsible for guiding strategic planning, managing technical teams, and overseeing the modernization of data infrastructure to improve integration, interoperability, governance, and reporting capabilities. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in health or public-sector data systems and will play a key role in advancing enterprise data transformation initiatives.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience in health data systems or related data management fields
- Strong experience in data infrastructure, integration, and modernization initiatives
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex data environments
- Experience working with large-scale enterprise or public-sector data systems
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Informatics, Data Science, or related field
- Experience working with public health or government health organizations (e.g., federal or state-level agencies)
- Experience modernizing legacy data systems and implementing data warehouse solutions
- Familiarity with emerging data technologies and open-source platforms
Responsibilities
- Select, manage, and mentor a team focused on data modernization and informatics
- Lead strategic planning and execution of data initiatives
- Coordinate team deliverables and ensure alignment with organizational goals
- Oversee data infrastructure improvements to enhance integration and interoperability
- Support development of enterprise data governance frameworks
- Drive modernization efforts to improve data timeliness, accuracy, and accessibility
- Support integration of emerging technologies, including open-source solutions where applicable
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to assess existing data environments
- Identify gaps and define requirements for data warehouse and integration strategies
- Support development of reporting, analytics, and visualization capabilities
- Ensure adherence to data governance standards and best practices
- Reduce duplication and inefficiencies in data collection and processing
- Improve coordination of data systems and enterprise-wide data activities
