The Strategic Transaction Analysis & Modeling team (“Team”) specializes in the analysis and modeling of corporate transactions, supporting attorneys and clients in evaluating strategic business decisions and driving deal execution. The Senior Analyst will contribute to the Team by preparing financial models and analyzing mergers and acquisitions, venture financings, down rounds, recapitalizations and other complex matters.

Requirements

  • 4 or more years of professional experience with a focus on financial modeling
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, with a demonstrated high level of academic achievement
  • Possess a strong background in Finance with particular expertise in financial modeling
  • Possess intermediate Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Demonstrate a strong problem-solving mindset with an analytical, proactive and hands-on approach
  • Possess a basic knowledge of various types of corporate entities and transactions
  • Have exceptional level of attention to detail and the ability to cross-check data to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Have the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and to meet deadlines
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills
  • Exercise excellent judgment and maintain the highest level of confidentiality
  • Thrive in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced work environment
  • Have flexibility to work extended hours during peak periods

Nice To Haves

  • Progress toward a CFA preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Develop, refine and audit complex financial models for corporate transactions
  • Prepare, update and revise deal models, allocation schedules, waterfalls and pro forma capitalization tables, incorporating direction from senior Team members
  • Understand financial information, legal documentation and relevant analytical concepts and generate models that clearly and accurately reflect transaction economics
  • Conduct scenario analysis and develop insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Deliver client-facing support under the direction of lead attorneys and senior Team members
  • Communicate with the internal deal team to ensure accurate and complete data for financial modeling
  • Clearly articulate and defend model design, underlying mechanics and model output
  • Assist the Team with various administrative projects as needed
